Research

My research focuses on advanced neuroimaging techniques, specifically micro-structural and metabolic imaging of radiologically subtle brain disorders, such as mild traumatic brain injury, depression etc. This includes studying the brain’s tissue micro-architecture and biochemical processes using modalities such as diffusion MRI and MR spectroscopy. Additionally, I am also interested to identify cellular underpinning of MRI signals with quantitative-immunohistochemistry. The overarching aim is to enhance the understanding of brain function, pathology, and neurodegenerative diseases, contributing to clinical diagnosis and therapeutic strategies.
