National Science Day 2018 Celebration

National Science Day on February 28th is celebrated to honour discovery of Raman effect by Indian physicist and Nobel laureate Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman. National Brain Research Centre celebrated National Science Day by opening its gates to undergraduates from Jamia Hamdard (New Delhi) and Bhaskaracharya college (New Delhi) along with 125 school students from Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Manesar. During day long activities, students got an opportunity to observe human brain exhibits, neural stem cells, neuroimaging tools like MRI scanner, EEG along with a brief insight to different brain disorders and infections by visiting various laboratories and interaction with faculty members. The visiting students also attended a lecture by Prof Shiv Sharma who talked to them about the discoveries in brain research. The sessions are interactive and students are encouraged to ask questions and participate in the discussions.
